Young Voices 2026

53 of our year 4, 5 & 6 pupils enjoyed an unforgettable musical adventure on 23rd January 2026 as they travelled to the O2 Arena in London to take part in Young Voices 2026, joining a breath-taking choir of 8,599 children from schools across England.

The day began with great excitement as everyone boarded the coach and set off towards the capital. The journey itself felt like part of the adventure: pupils spotted the old Olympic Stadium from the window and later travelled through the long tunnel beneath the River Thames, adding an additional level of excitement to the trip.

Once at the O2, the group found a place to enjoy lunch before heading inside for a full afternoon of rehearsals. With thousands of young singers filling the arena, the atmosphere was electric. The scale of the venue was unlike anything many pupils had ever experienced, and the sound of so many voices singing together was truly powerful.

Young Voices is known for its special guests, and this year did not disappoint. Rutti, winner of The Voice UK, performed alongside the children, inspiring them with her incredible vocals. The crowd was also treated to a high‑energy performance from Urban Strides, the world‑class dance group whose enthusiasm and talent had the whole arena cheering.

By the time the evening concert began, the excitement had reached its peak. Families filled the seats, lights swept across the arena, and thousands of children sang their hearts out. It was a long day, but every moment felt worth it.

The experience left everyone tired but thrilled, carrying home memories of a truly spectacular event that celebrated music, teamwork, and the joy of performing on one of the biggest stages in the country, we already can’t wait until next year!!
